^“He himself is our Peace”

This morning saw the second of our services giving examples of the Holy Spirit in action.  This morning we focussed on peace.  Kate led our worship, Ernie read Ephesians 2:11-22 and Roger spoke about Terry Waite, his role as the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Peace Envoy, and what happened to him as a result of doing God’s work.

The intercessions were led by Elisabeth and Kate ended the service with a special blessing for the marriage of George and Frances Allhusen as they celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

This morning saw the start of a series of services giving examples of the Holy Spirit in action.  This morning we focussed on love.  Elisabeth led our worship, Mary read 1 John 4:7-16 and our guest speaker Anna Silva Carvalho told Iain about the work of the Exeter charity Restore where she volunteers, befriending survivors of modern slavery, human trafficking and abuse, helping rehabilitate them for normal living.  The intercessions were led by Sue.
