Remembrance Sunday in Axmouth

Open-Air Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial
Sun 8 Nov 10:45-11:05

We will gather outside the church, socially-distanced with face-coverings, to lay wreaths, honour the brave of Axmouth who fell in two World Wars and observe 2 minutes silence with The Last Post. You can join us, either on the spot or online.

We are not able to go into church after this because of Government Lockdown Rules so we have pre-recorded a Remembrance Service which you can follow online.

The link for joining us online on Sunday morning will beĀ https://www.facebook.com/Axmouth/videos/?ref=page_internal

This link will take you to an internet page where you will find a collection of videos, including not only the open-air live stream from the War Memorial but also the recorded service from Axmouth Church.

Service by telephone at 4 pm

This is being led by Hilary Harron and will be another superb way to take part in an act of remembrance from the comfort of your home.

A few minutes before 16.00 call 0333 011 0616. When asked for the access code enter 7239782#

When the sun goes down and in the morning, we will remember them.

Week beginning Sun 1 Nov

The beginning of the week was easy
We gathered for All Saints’ Day worship in Axmouth at 10 am, in church or live online
We invited you to All Souls’ Day worship on Monday at 6 pm in Axminster

After that it becomes uncertain
The COVID lockdown begins on Thursday, leaving all our plans to be revised. We wait to understand the implications for Remembrance Sunday and services later during November but, as soon as guidance to us is clear, we’ll tell you here on this website

Meanwhile, for what we do know, please check Pews News
